=DREAMS

=DREAMS is a residential model that provides after-school enrichment and holistic developmental support so that each child can focus on meeting their potential for a tertiary education.

While 90% of Singapore's households live in homes of their own, families living in public rental housing may need socio-economic support, including help with their children's development. =DREAMS seeks to provide opportunities to the aspiring children of these families, some of whom may be 2nd and 3rd generation occupants of HDB 1-Room (33sqm) and 2-Room (45sqm) Public Rental Flats.

To qualify for the programme, the child should have secureda place in a secondary school based on his/her PSLE results.

Successful applicants will benefit from the programme for up to 6 years, from Secondary 1 to Pre-tertiary.

Children under the programme will commute to school themselves and return to our boarding facility after the school day where they will receive after-school academic and holistic support. This includes differentiated programmes designed according to the specific needs of each age band, such as coding classes, eco-citizenship cultivation lessons, leadership and critical-thinking-focused training incorporated into their schedules and offered during term breaks. We are a home-away-from-home for the children during school days, and they return to their family on weekends and school holidays.

We will partner parents and the community to encourage integrated care and foster the kampung spirit.

=DREAMS will be funded through donations and in-kind sponsorships.

Education Benefit Gala - A Fundraising Event With Obama

Former United States president Barack Obama spoke at the Education Benefit Gala Dinner (presented by Novena Global Lifecare) on 14 December 2019 to help raise funds for four Singapore charities that support education and training for marginalised women and children from disadvantaged families.

South Central Community FSC was one of the four beneficiaries of this Education Benefit Gala Dinner that was held in support of our upcoming =DREAMS and other educational and learning support programmes for our lower income families.
